The tow has been further processed using the Belfast Mini Mills Separator. The machine separates the fibre from the remaining woody shive. The clean tow is then processed in the Carder to create the roving. Tow roving is available for sale in 100-grams bumps.

TapRoot Fibre Lab fibres have been grown and processed in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.Our flax straw was broken and scutched to separate and remove the woody shive from the linen fibres. It was then hackled to remove any remaining shive, knots, and any short line linen (tow). The short fibres are process through the Belfast Mini mills Separator and then further processed to create roving in the Belfast Mini mills Carder.
