It is Friday. It is hot. I like it. But I have the good fortune of being able to sit a tree if I need to. The mill does not have air conditioning so there are fans going to blow some air around. Today is just one of those days that the air is heavy and hot and in some ways the air and time stand still.

Last evening we celebrated an 11th birthday in our family. It was such a joy to gather, visit, and enjoy delicious food together.

Last night the picker broke. We have some alpaca that is not behaving. We have a yarn order that needs to be distributed to 18 cones. An alpaca order to wash. Finished yarn to wash. There are many tasks on the go today.

I am most excited about a yarn we are making for a customer in Quebec. It is wool, flax, silk blend. It is just unreal. It glistens as it spins.

Off I go to get at it. Wishing you a joy filled day.
