A beautiful placemat hand made from locally grown TapRoot Linen. A perfect backdrop to a home cooked meal using local farm produce. Dress your table settings with a few or use one as a centerpiece.

The Story:

In the Spring of 2022 Patricia was sorting yarns at the spinning mill and found herself with a large box of yarns that we had been creating since 2018. She called her colleague Jennifer Green at NSCAD. Together with three recent graduates of the weaving program at NSCAD we created three products. The Flax Field Rug, The TapRoot Placemat and The TapRoot Tote. 

TapRoot Fibre aspires to work with local artisans to create products that feel and look great, are grown and processed locally, are supporting our community, our culture and cultivate excitement for what is possible.
